What entities does the HubSpot integration support?
Masset currently supports direct integration with Contacts, Companies, and Deals. Additional support for Tickets is on the roadmap for future implementation.
What features of HubSpot does the integration use?
The Masset for HubSpot Integration supports two primary workflows:
- Inside HubSpot:
Users can search company assets they have access to inside Masset. If results are found, they can share them with prospects. Each share is tied to the HubSpot Object, and actions like opens, shares, or downloads are tracked to the HubSpot Timeline. - Inside Masset:
Users can create shares directly from Masset and view aggregated metrics correlated to CRM associations. Permissions established in Masset always apply.
How do I install the HubSpot Integration?
Install it from the HubSpot Marketplace or from Masset → Profile → Integrations (Admin only). The installer must be an Admin in both Masset and HubSpot.
After installation, users associate their HubSpot and Masset accounts to ensure proper access to assets.

What permissions (scopes) does the integration require?
To function correctly, the integration requires the following HubSpot permissions:
What Masset data is shared with HubSpot?
Only limited data is displayed visually in the HubSpot UI:
- Asset name
- Asset description
- 256x256 preview image
- System-generated questions the content may answer
The raw asset itself never leaves Masset. All access is routed through Masset to maintain privacy and control.
What HubSpot data does Masset have access to?
Masset accesses only:
- Contact ID, first name, last name
- Company ID and name
- Deal ID and name
This is used solely for user-driven requests as described in this document and the Masset Privacy Policy.
Can I limit the HubSpot data Masset accesses?
Yes. While read access is required for Contacts, Companies, and Deals, you can restrict synchronization. Contact support@getmasset.com for help customizing data sync.
Does the HubSpot integration use any sub-processors?
No additional sub-processors are used beyond Masset’s defaults, listed here.
If future features require sub-processors, they’ll be explicitly opt-in to maintain data protection.
Does the HubSpot integration use my data for AI training?
No. The integration does not use AI, LLMs, or any machine learning for training.
