Masset + Slack: a door into the home from where your team already works.
Your content library shows up right inside Slack. Myca finds and shares your approved assets in any channel, and every answer stays grounded in your real content. Nobody has to leave the conversation to go find a file.
“@Myca do we have anything for a healthcare CTO deal?”
Found 2 matches, ranked for a healthcare buyer:
Want me to share either one to this channel?
Everything your team needs from your content library, without leaving Slack.
Myca is Masset's built-in AI assistant. Inside Slack, it works the same way it does everywhere else in Masset, just closer to where your team is already talking.
Get answers grounded in your content
Ask Myca a question in a Slack thread, a private channel, or the Assistant Panel, and it answers using only the content that's approved inside Masset. No made-up facts, no guessing.
Search that respects who's asking
Every search Myca runs in Slack is filtered by the requesting person's own Masset permissions. A teammate can only find what they could already find inside Masset itself.
Share straight from the results
Myca can share an asset link with a Slack user the moment it finds the right one, so the file reaches the right person without anybody switching tabs.
Downloads always route through Masset
The raw file itself is never posted into Slack. Anyone who wants to open or download it clicks through to Masset and logs in first.
Four ways to reach Myca in Slack
Minutes to connect. Not weeks.
Getting Slack connected is one small piece of onboarding to Masset, and full onboarding to the platform is measured in hours, not months.
Install the app from inside Masset
A Masset Admin and a Slack Workspace Admin (the same person works fine) go to Admin, then Integrations, then Add Account, then click Slack, and finish Slack's own authorization screen.
Turn on Slack's top bar visibility
Enabling "Show Masset on Slack's top bar" puts Myca one click away for the whole workspace, so nobody has to dig through the app directory to find it.
Everyone gets connected, without a per-person setup step
Slack user syncing maps your whole workspace into Masset automatically, so your admin handles account association centrally instead of asking each person to connect their own account.
During setup, Slack may briefly show a note that says “This app is not approved by Slack.” That's Slack's standard feedback window for new apps, not a security warning, and it clears on its own.
A two-minute daily quiz, delivered right where your team already is.
Once your library is connected, Masset can deliver a short daily quiz built from your own approved content. Each question takes about two minutes, can be open-ended or multiple choice, and is scored by AI in real time.
Training runs at the same experience in Slack and Microsoft Teams. If part of your team lives in one and part in the other, everyone still gets the same daily habit. See the Microsoft Teams integration for the Teams side of it.
Slack gets more reach. It never gets less security.
Every rule that governs Masset applies the same way inside Slack. Nothing here is a special case.
Private channels stay invisible
Masset can't see inside a private channel unless Myca has been explicitly added to it.
The file itself never leaves Masset
Raw assets are never uploaded into Slack. Every download redirects back to Masset and requires a login.
Myca only reads what it needs to answer you
Direct mentions, Assistant Panel messages, channels and DMs it's joined, slash command requests, and messages containing getmasset.com links. Nothing else.
Your data never trains a model
Masset does not use Slack messages, or any other customer data, to train or fine-tune AI models. Masset also maintains a SOC 2 report and is penetration tested periodically by independent third parties.
Common Questions
Does every person on our team have to connect their own Slack account?
No. Slack user syncing brings your whole workspace into Masset automatically, so an admin maps accounts centrally. Each person still needs that association in place before Myca will search or share for them. Syncing is just what makes it happen without anyone doing it by hand.
Can someone download a file straight out of Slack?
No. The raw file is never uploaded to Slack in the first place. Myca can share a link to it, but opening or downloading it always sends someone through Masset, where they log in first.
What can Myca actually see in our Slack workspace?
Only what it needs to answer a direct question: mentions of @Myca, messages sent to its Assistant Panel, channels and direct messages it's been added to, uses of the /masset-search command, and messages that contain a getmasset.com link. It can't see a private channel it hasn't joined, and it never reads Slack attachments.
Is our Slack content used to train AI models?
No. Masset does not use Slack messages, or any other customer data, to train or fine-tune AI models. All the language models Masset relies on run under agreements that restrict training on customer data.
