Masset + Microsoft Teams: a door into the home from where your team already works.

Your content library shows up right inside Microsoft Teams. Myca finds and shares your approved assets in any chat or channel, and every answer stays grounded in your real content, with the same daily training your team gets in Slack.

What It Does

Everything your team needs from your content library, without leaving Teams.

Myca is Masset's built-in AI assistant. Inside Microsoft Teams, it works the same way it does everywhere else in Masset, just closer to where your team is already talking.

Get answers grounded in your content

Ask Myca a question in a 1-on-1 chat or a channel it's a member of, and it answers using only the content that's approved inside Masset. No made-up facts, no guessing.

Search that respects who's asking

Every search Myca runs in Microsoft Teams is filtered by the requesting person's own Masset permissions, the same way it works inside Slack and Masset itself.

Share straight from the results

Myca can share an asset link with a Teams user the moment it finds the right one, so the file reaches the right person without anybody switching tabs.

Downloads always route through Masset

The raw file itself is never posted into Microsoft Teams. Anyone who wants to open or download it clicks through to Masset and logs in first.

Three ways to reach Myca in Microsoft Teams

@Myca in a channelMyca replies in a thread under the mention, so the channel stays uncluttered.
Daily Training quizOne short quiz question is posted to each learner on a schedule, scored by AI in real time.
Setup

Minutes to connect. Not weeks.

Getting Microsoft Teams connected is one small piece of onboarding to Masset, and full onboarding to the platform is measured in hours, not months.

01

Install the app from inside Masset

A Masset Admin and a Microsoft Teams Admin (or a Teams admin standing by to approve it) go to Admin, then Integrations, then Add Account, then click Microsoft Teams and finish Microsoft's authorization screen.

02

Roll the app out across the tenant

A Microsoft Teams Admin opens Manage apps in the Teams admin center, sets the app permission policy for the relevant users or the whole tenant, and can optionally pin Masset into the Teams left rail by default.

03

Everyone gets connected, one person at a time

Every teammate still needs their Microsoft Teams account associated with their Masset account before search, share, or Training will work for them. Full platform onboarding is measured in hours, not months.

Training

A two-minute daily quiz, delivered right where your team already is.

Training has run at full parity in Microsoft Teams and Slack since May 2026. Each learner gets one short quiz question a day, built from your own approved content, answered as open-ended or multiple choice and scored by AI in real time.

Nobody needs to log in to Masset to answer. The per-user account association that already lets Myca search and share for that person is also what makes Training work. See the Slack integration for the Slack side of it.

The Locks

Teams gets more reach. It never gets less security.

Every rule that governs Masset applies the same way inside Microsoft Teams. Nothing here is a special case.

Private chats and channels stay invisible

Masset can't see a private chat or a channel unless Myca has been explicitly added to it.

The file itself never leaves Masset

Raw assets are never uploaded into Microsoft Teams. Every download redirects back to Masset and requires a login.

Myca only reads what it needs to answer you

Direct mentions, 1-on-1 chat messages, channels it's a member of, and messages containing getmasset.com links. Nothing else.

Your data never trains a model

Masset does not use Microsoft Teams messages, or any other customer data, to train or fine-tune AI models. Masset also maintains a SOC 2 report and is penetration tested periodically by independent third parties.

FAQ

Common Questions

Does Microsoft Teams training work the same as Slack training?

Yes. Training has run at full parity in Microsoft Teams and Slack since May 2026. Same two-minute daily quiz, the same open-ended or multiple choice questions, the same AI scoring in real time, and the same mastery tracking.

Do we need our Microsoft 365 admin involved?

Yes, once. A Microsoft Teams Admin needs to approve the Masset app in the Teams admin center and set the rollout policy before the wider team can use it. After that, each person only needs their own account associated to start searching, sharing, and training.

Can someone download a file directly in Teams?

No. The raw file is never uploaded to Microsoft Teams in the first place. Myca can share a link to it, but opening or downloading it always sends someone through Masset, where they log in first.

Is our Microsoft Teams data used to train AI models?

No. Masset does not use Microsoft Teams messages, or any other customer data, to train or fine-tune AI models. All the language models Masset relies on run under agreements that restrict training on customer data.
